We are a well established practice in search of an enthusiastic veterinary colleague to join our energetic, cosy team of nurses and vets.
An experienced candidate is preferred but applications from new and recent graduates are also welcome. Senior vets will provide guidance and mentoring support. New grads will be rostered alongside an experienced colleague, and there are no silly questions. Cases are worked up and discussed with the other vets in the team.
We are after a colleague who has good communication skills, leadership qualities, and who works well in a team. The colleague will also be open to working outdoors.
She or he wants to advance with the clinic, and is happy to learn new things – for example, ultrasound and surgical techniques from senior colleagues.
CPE is encouraged and financially supported.
There is also opportunity for future career development in the practice for the right candidate.
Our principal is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne and has a special interest and qualifications in aquatic medicine. Due to his expertise, we see anything from valuable koi fish to macaques, to the more common family dog, cat, small furry, and bird, which makes for a colourful day at the office.
We are a busy practice with exposure to a wide variety of medicine and surgical cases. We make full use of all our equipment, which include the full suite of Idexx blood machines, Ultrasound, Radiography, Endoscopes, Cryosurgical equipment, Tonometry, etc.
We have an in-house Sonographer with more than 12 years of scanning experience.
The practice is open for consultations Mon-Sat 9.30- 1pm, and 3-7.30pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays. There is minimal OOH.
