Dear SVA Members,
As you may be aware, the current SVA Executive Committee has placed emphasis on safeguarding and protecting the mental health and wellness of the veterinary profession.
Strategic partnerships with mental health and wellness partners has been well-received, such as our partnership with the Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS) to offer complimentary professional mental health and wellness services to all SVA members.
It is accepted that physical and mental health are fundamentally linked, and should be approached holistically. The Mental Health Foundation UK explains that when considering mental health and physical health, the two should not be thought of as separate.
Poor physical health can lead to an increased risk of developing mental health problems. Similarly, poor mental health can negatively impact on physical health, leading to an increased risk of some conditions. As such, we are pleased to announce the following partnerships with ClassPass and Platinum Yoga as follows:
We hope that these partnerships will encourage veterinary professionals to take time out of their busy schedule to exercise and keep fit. Do let us know if you think there are potential partnerships to explore with other organisations.
Stay healthy and happy!
SVA Executive Commitee
