Veterinary Nurse (SPCA)

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is looking for a veterinary nurse to join our community animal clinic. The SPCA’s clinic is unique, as it is a not-for-profit clinic serving needy animals in Singapore. These include street dogs and cats, abused and rescued animals, shelter animals and, eventually, pets from low income households. 

As part of the clinic team, you will be responsible for the provision of the highest standards of veterinary medicine and care. 

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the care, treatment and overall well-being of animals
• To assist the duty Veterinarian with consultations, treatments and surgeries
• Maintain diagnostic equipment, sterilisation of surgical instrument and general cleanliness of the clinic
• Maintain records, and write and file reports

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent 
• At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in a veterinary clinic
• Passion for animal welfare
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A team player
• Able to work weekends
