Veterinary Intern – Mount Pleasant Vet Centre (Jalan Gelenggang)

The veterinary centre at Jalan Gelenggang is one of the most well-equipped, purpose-built veterinary practices in Singapore providing first opinion and referral service. Our veterinary team comprises of one boarded internal medicine specialist and 3 other veterinarians with memberships in internal medicine and surgery. Our on-site diagnostic services include a dedicated veterinary laboratory, ultrasonography, digital radiography, computed tomography, a chemotherapy suite and a full endoscopy suite (rigid and flexible). Our surgical team works in a dedicated surgery suite with state-of-the-art surgical equipment to carry out advanced procedures like neurosurgery, orthopaedics, oncologic and complex soft tissue surgeries. The ward for our hospitalized patients comprises of a general dog and cat area, as well as an intensive care unit for critically ill patients.
We seek motivated individuals who want to practice evidence-based medicine and develop themselves further in the profession.

– Successful candidate will undergo a 12 month rotating internship program under the supervision of senior veterinarians with post-graduate qualifications in surgery and medicine
– Should have a veterinary degree recognized by AVA
– Able to work on a roster basis which includes overnight duties once a week
– Primary responsibilities include assisting the senior veterinarians in consults and surgeries, active participation in case discussion and management, and weekly rounds.
