We are a well-established (since 2002) progressive practice in search of an enthusiastic colleague to join our passionate team of vets and nurses. Senior vets are happy to guide and mentor where wanted, and our vet to nurse ratio is 1:3, providing ample support.
We are looking for a team player with good communication skills, and who enjoys helping people and their animals. An experienced vet is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome.
The principal is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne and has a special interest and qualifications in aquatic medicine. Our colleagues are proficient in surgery, sonography and endoscopy, and always willing to share their knowledge. We are predominantly a small animal practice, looking after the more common family dog and cat, with the peppering of small furry, feathery or scaly patient, all of which makes for a colourful day at the office. The week can also include wildlife fieldwork, house visits, the oceanarium and fish farms.
Sonography is part of daily practice and we have an in-house sonographer.
Full time vets work a four-day week with very little after-hour calls. We are closed on Sun and Public Holidays.
