We are in search of an enthusiastic veterinary colleague who is interested to work in a small animal clinic that sees some exotics. The successful applicant will be settling in a friendly environment, well supported by a good team of nurses and experienced veterinarians. Our principal is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne and has a special interest and qualifications in aquatic medicine. New and recent graduates are also welcome to apply- for whom there will be a mentoring process.
The practice was established in 2002 and is still growing. If you are looking for stability and working with seasoned colleagues who find fulfillment in their vocation, our practice is the right one for you. We make full use of all our equipment, which include the full suite of Idexx blood machines, Ultrasound, Radiography, Gastro-scope, Cryosurgical equipment, Tonometry, etc.
Specialist referral or opinion where required, is straightforward and quick, and includes a US based radiologist.
We are a busy practice with exposure to a wide variety of medicine and surgical cases. We strive for patient advocacy, client care, and staff wellbeing. The clinic is open for consultations Mon-Sat 9.30- 1pm, and 3-7.30pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
We want to support our veterinarians to grow in their hands-on and diagnostic skills. CPE is encouraged and financially supported, including furthering individual interests in specific areas of veterinary medicine and surgery. There is also opportunity for future career development in the practice for the right candidate.
Full-time vets are rostered on 4.5 days a week, and there is minimal after hours.
