We are in search of an enthusiastic veterinary colleague with experience to join our predominantly small animal clinic.
The successful applicant will be settling in a friendly environment, well supported by a passionate team of nurses and veterinarians, one of whom is a member of the ANZCVS. Recent graduates are welcome to apply, and senior vets will provide mentoring support.
Our principal is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne and has further qualifications in aquatic medicine. Due to his expertise, we see anything from valuable koi fish to macaques, to the more common family dog, cat, rabbit, and small furry.
We are after a colleague who has good communication skills, leadership qualities, and is able to work well in a team. He or she wants to advance with the clinic, and is always open to learning new things.
We encourage our vets to grow in their hands-on and diagnostic skills. CPE is encouraged and financially supported.
The practice was established in 2002 and was recently moved to a purpose- built, spacious building. We are a busy practice with exposure to a wide variety of medicine and surgical cases.
We make full use of our equipment, which include:
• Full suite of Idexx blood machines,
• Ultrasound,
• Digital Radiography,
• Gastro-scope,
• Cryosurgical equipment,
• Tonometry,
• etc.
Specialist referral or opinion where required, is straightforward and quick, and includes a US based radiologist.
The clinic is open Mon-Sat 9.30- 1pm, and 3-7.30pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
