Elbow Dysplasia: Clinical Diagnosis and Management

Seminar by Hong Kong Veterinary Association with Dr Andrew Worth
When: Thursday, October 13, 2011
7:00PM to 10:30PM
Venue: Mariner's Club 11 Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Elbow dysplasia is a common and potentially crippling condition. Far from a simple disease, 5 different lesions are grouped under the ED umbrella.

Diagnosis can be problematic in juvenile patients at a time when surgical intervention may be beneficial. A window of opportunity exists in which to treat primary lesions and limit secondary arthritis. This presentation will discuss diagnosis, contemporary theories on pathogenesis and current thinking regarding surgery or arthroscopy. It will be supported by video of some of the procedures and will discuss developments in research from the recent International Elbow Working Group Meeting in Amsterdam.

Dinner from 7.00pm, lectures from 8.00-10.30pm
